Who we are
Northamptonshire Health and Care Careers Academy exists to encourage the next generation of health and social care workers. As part of Integrated Care Northamptonshire, it brings together health and care organisations from across the county. The Academy offers easy access to the wide variety of careers and programmes available.
How we can help you
The aim of our website is to bring together everything you may need to know about starting a career in health and social care in Northamptonshire. There is information on careers in health, careers in social care as well as different career paths such as; apprenticeships, t-levels, volunteering and much more! We have also included a subject to careers tool, which will show you all the possible careers to do with your chosen subject.
Apprenticeships
Take care of your career and become an apprentice! Apprenticeships offer ways into many health and care jobs. They offer a mix of on-the-job training, classroom learning and, best of all, you earn while you learn.
Getting experience
Our getting experience opportunities are open to anyone thinking about a career in health and care. This includes those in education or those thinking about a career change or are unemployed.
Volunteering
We have fantastic opportunities for those wishing to offer their time to help others, or hoping to develop volunteering into a career. There are many roles available all which provide experience, learning and development.
T Levels
T Levels are a two-year qualification. They are an alternative to A levels, other post-16 courses or an apprenticeship. They offer a mix of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience. An industry placement makes up at least 315 hours (around 45 days).
